I am thinking about buying a sailboat or a motor yacht, but I need to know the height limit of the bridges between the SF Bay and Sacramento. Does anyone know this information or where I can get this information? I would prefer a sailboat, however, if it wont make it under the bridges, it’s not much use to me. So what’s the tallest boat that could reach Sacramento? I would need to get past the I-5 overpass as I live on the Garden highway, that would be the last bridge.

You can purchase the boat you want right here in Sacramento, and save yourself a lot of trouble.
For information on transporting a boat from SF to Sac, contact Cal Trans at the link below:

The answer youre looking for is Yes, you can sail a boat to/from sacramento to the bay and out to sea.
Several boats are moored/sliped on the American river and all along the river down to the delta.
On line there are nautical charts for free from NOAA.
These will show all the bridges, Mean High water clearance. Check for tides also. I think tide tables are published too.
